back in the t dot at long last...

(i meant to post this at the end of May. oops...)
PHEW!!!

I'm home at last! I've been home for a week (and i'm still not unpacked!) and we're "enjoying" a toronto heat wave right now. After the damp England chill, i'm glad for the sun and the heat. I could do without the smog and humidity, though. it's 34 C here today (42 with the humidity!! That's 107 F for all you americans).

So life's been busy since i left capernwray, and i thought i'd send a little update on what i've been up to. If you already know all this, then just enjoy the pics.

After cap, I met up with my sister Heather (who had been at the capernwray in Greece) and we went to CYPRUS to stay with family friends for a week. And wow! Our first morning there we stepped out of the house and were blinded by the sun! It was beautiful. We went to Paphos (where the apostle Paul preached) and swam in the sea, ate delicious oranges and had a great time.

Next, we flew to GREECE where we met up with Becky Evert and Colby. We had a blast! We went to Crete, Santorini, and Athens. The acropolis was amazing... We relaxed on the beach, rented mopeds, ate baclava and gyros (yummmmmmm), chatted with the cute guys at the pizza shop, made some funny videos... Next time you travel, Greece is a must-do.

then... back to my big sister's house in England for two weeks until my friend Amanda from home came over... then we were out gallavanting around Scotland (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling, Fort William (grrrr... that's a story and a half) and Paris (absolutely stunning in the spring. wonderful parks, cafes, crepes... ), and Brussells for just long enough to get Belgin waffles (i seem to mention food alot. We had alot of really good food). Then to Holland for a week (molen (windmills), and stroopwaffls and canals, and tulips at Keukenhof...)
Back to England where we ended our trip in London. I would have loved to spend a few more days there. Actually, i'd have loved a few more days/weeks everywhere we went.

Now that i'm home, we've been busy preparing for my brother's wedding--- in one week!! very exciting, very busy... I'm looking for a job for the summer and for the fall.... I'm going to apply for teachers college for next year (07), and i'm excited about that, although it does seem strange actually deciding (finally!) what to do with my life. Who knows (besides God, of course!), it may change still....
Well, that's about it for the becky newsletter right now.
